The Display-Mode client hint allows proactive content negotiation based on the triggering page's manifest's display value. By using this feature, web app developers can adjust server responses to use display-mode-specific assets and eliminate unnecessary resources, reducing the overall amount of data transferred and processed for page render. See https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-httpbis-client-hints and https://github.com/igrigorik/http-client-hints#use-cases for more info.
